About Mook Farm
This is my family farm. It was named after the tiny, tobacco town of Mook. In the early 20th Century this place had thriving commerce; the fields were full of tobacco, cattle, corn and people.
Today they have returned to prairies; the hollows, thickets, and grasslands teem with native wildlife—deer, wild turkeys, bobcats, coyotes, and small animals and birds.
Hunting
Three-hundred acre tracts of Mook Farm itself are leased yearly as hunting preserves. These leases are offered according the rules of the Kentucky Department of Wildlife to check and protect the animal populations. The major deer seasons are before and after Thanksgiving.
Guest Houses
The old General Store and the log Shrewsbury School are being converted into guest houses. They will offer authentic periods of quiet country life for meetings or just a small vacation.
Belgian Malinois
From time to time Belgian Malinois pups are available. Gremlin and Serious are our family pets and protectors; They have excellent American and European bloodlines. There is one litter a year of these amazing dogs.
Boer Goats
Boer Goats are the only domesticated livestock remaining. Breeding stock from their old school bloodlines is available.
Hopefully you will be visiting Mook soon.
